Riyadh: The State of Qatar participated in the 18th Session of GCC Joint Defence Council which was held at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.
The participating Qatari delegation was headed by Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence and Security Affairs H E Major General (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al Mannai.
During the meeting, decisions and recommendations for the session’s work programme were discussed.
After the meeting, the Qatari delegation participated in the opening ceremony of the headquarters of the Unified Military Command, accompanied by Their Highnesses and Excellencies, heads of the participating delegations.
The meeting and the opening of the headquarters of the Unified Military Command were attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H E Bandar bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, and a number of senior officers in the Qatari Armed Forces.
