Kabul: At least 26 people have died in Afghanistan due to heavy rain and flash floods.
Local Authorities said a total of 26 people were killed, 44 others injured, and 36 more people went missing in rainstorms and flooding that swept through parts of eastern Wardak province late Saturday.
Last year's seasonal flooding killed several people in Afghanistan, destroying hundreds of residential houses and livestock.
