Doha: ‘Doha kutumbam’ an active group of Telugu community members from Andhra Pradesh have successfully conducted several get-togethers covering their cultural programs since the last 5 years including the program ‘ugadi utsavalu’ conducted on March 16. On the occasion of their traditional festival ‘UGADI’ (Telugu New Year) which is a very popular festival in some southern parts of the India.
During these events, the community members express and exchange their traditional values among themselves and pass on to their to children their heritage and cultural values, which represent the identity of Telugu Community, their culture in Qatar as well as support the community’s needs in Qatar.
The response from community members was overwhelming and several members came forward to become part of this group for their cultural needs.
