Doha: talabat, the region’s leading food delivery and q-commerce app, celebrated the National Day with a campaign “From Passion to Pride,” highlighting local businesses and Qatari entrepreneurs who have highly contributed to the country’s socio-economic development.

talabat Qatar Managing Director, Francisco Miguel De Sousa, said: “talabat wishes Qatar a Happy National Day! We are committed to continue serving you all in the future and wish you a prosperous year. Our continuous effort to bring a positive impact to the community we’re part of is what motivates us to serve the public in Qatar. From passion to pride, we strongly support local small and medium-sized enterprises by giving them the opportunity to grow and develop their businesses through talabat. It is our mission to constantly support the local ecosystem and we ensure all our initiatives abide by that.”

Among the companies which were featured sharing their success stories include Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani from Twisted Olive, Khalid Alansari from Exit 55, Ghanim Al Sulaiti from Evergreen, Faisal Al Siddiqi from Poori & Karak, Ali Almslmani from U Burger, Jassim Al Jaidah from Batatos and Ahmed Al Khalaf from Agrico. A common trait they share is their sense of passion and commitment which were integral to them building and growing their businesses, and becoming well known home-grown success stories.

As part of its commitment to the local ecosystem, talabat has offered strong support to several Qatari organisations and entrepreneurs who significantly contributed to the growth of the local food industry. This is through giving them the opportunity to grow their business online and increase their reach and accessibility to as many people as possible, which was a key success factor during the COVID-19 pandemic.

From supporting the local ecosystem to bringing in new experiences, it is currently focusing on a wide variety of local initiatives that will bring a positive impact to the community, with the aim to contribute to Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

In addition to supporting local brands, talabat Qatar commemorated the National day by delivering specially dedicated gift bags in the national burgundy colours of the country, along with a box of “Made in Qatar” products, which was included in each order from talabat Mart on this special day.

Moreover, it also announced that consumers can now access talabat Mart by downloading the talabat app from the App Store, Google PlayStore, and Huawei App Gallery.
