Occupied Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces today stormed the town of Silwan backed by a police escort, south of the Al Aqsa Mosque, amid a state of tension.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the municipal staff and the accompanying force raided several neighborhoods in Silwan and handed over notices to a number of local citizens informing them about the municipality's intent to demolish their homes, under the pretext of construction without a permit.

In a separate context, groups of Jewish settlers stormed the Al Aqsa Mosque earlier today, from the Dung Gate, with intensive guard from the Israeli occupation forces. (
