Istanbul, Turkiye: A building collapsed in a central district of Istanbul on Sunday, with several people trapped under the rubble, local broadcaster NTV reported.
The NTV that the incident occurred in the Fatih district on the city's European side. Live footage from the scene showed that numerous fire brigades, medical teams and police units have been dispatched, while rescue efforts to save those trapped are ongoing.
It remains unclear how many people are still under the debris. So far, two people have been rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, the NTV said.
