Doha: Minister of Education and Higher Education and Chairperson of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi has honoured the winners of the Fifth Youth Research Forum 2023.
The honouring ceremony was organised by Qatar University Young Scientists Center in cooperation with Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science at the university campus, in the presence of QU President, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham.
The theme of this year’s forum was “Higher Education Institutions and their Role in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”. The prizewinners provided a brief summary of their winning research and posters.
The Minister had previously expressed her happiness during her participation with a recorded speech at the opening of the forum, which was held virtually on March 8–9, 2023, on the significance of the role of youth in leading, developing opportunities for scientific progress through scientific research, creativity, and innovation, and also linking research to the needs of society in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development.
