Qatar slams shooting at Islamic Centre in Switzerland

Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the shooting at Islamic Centre on Zurich in Switzerland and the run over accident in a market in the German city of Berlin which left dozens of people dead and wounded.
In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry said that these criminal acts that target innocent civilians are contrary to all ethical and humanitarian principles and values.
The statement also reiterated Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of their motives and causes.  
The Ministry stressed in its statement Qatar's solidarity with Switzerland and Germany.  
The statement renewed the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
It also expressed Qatar's sincere condolences to the victims' families and the people and government of Switzerland and Germany, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned the attack that took place in Berlin on Monday.
In a statement issued yesterday, Aboul Gheit said that combating such terrorist attacks is one of the biggest challenges of the current age as these attacks blindly kill innocent people indiscriminately around the world, stressing the need to cooperate to fight this interlaced-dimensional threat.
