Mercure Hotel Doha celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the group company AccorHotels on November 19.
The theme of the event #WelcomeHeroes opened its doors to everyday heroes like civil defence personnel, medical staff, municipality staff, teachers and others who have been serving the community on daily basis.
The event was graced by Ambassador of France, H E Eric Chevallier, who was welcomed by the General Manager of the hotel Mr Sebastien Vincent.
Sebastien gave a brief about the group on how two friends, Paul Dubrule and Gérard Pélisson, opened their first Novotel In 1967, the company had grown to more than 4,200 hotels worldwide, in different brands and in 95 countries, with a team of more than 250,000 dedicated staff with a purpose and heartfelt mission: to make every guest Feel Welcome.
