DOHA: Wellcare Group recently celebrated their 18th anniversary as Wellcare Day 2018, at Regency Halls, Al Hilal.
During the event “Purple Rewards”, was launched by Wellcare Group. Purple rewards, which would be a first in Qatar, comprehensively allows the customers and pharmacists in Wellcare Pharmacies to keep track of medicines, interactions, refills, SMS reminders, loyalty points and many more benefits.
In this new pharma-technology feature in Qatar, the customers will get advance messages on their mobile phones or email, about the chronic medication refilling, product information, medication management follow-up and on special offers for loyal customers. SMS reminders will be very useful for those who are taking chronic medication (eg: for diabetes, high blood pressure), as they will receive an alert message in mobile and email three days ahead of finishing their medication and Wellcare pharamcies could initiate insurance coverage procedure.
The chief guest of the function was Ambassador of India to Qatar, P Kumaran (pictured), who inaugurated the function. The other guest of honour present was Ambassador of Canada to Qatar, Adrian Norfolk. The “Wellcare Day” is an annual event celebrating the culmination of sports and cultural activities within the employees and their family, which would also had respectable invitees from friendly business groups, Ministry of Public Health, Qatar University, ICBF and Academic Institutions.

The Chairman of Wellcare Group, Mukthar, in his speech attributed the success of the organisation to the people of Qatar, President of Wellcare Group, Shiekh Abdullah A A Al Thani, then to the employees of Wellcare and ultimately to the blessings of the Almighty. Mukthar also welcomed the presence of Sheikh Abdullah A A Al Thani on the occasion. Mukthar, Ashraf and Dr. Sameer, CEO of Aster-Qatar launched the “Purple rewards” for the benefit of all the Qatar residents.
