DOHA: The provost of Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), Dr Khaled B Letaief (pictured), has received the prestigious Marconi Prize Paper Award on Wireless Communications from the US based Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
The award recognises exceptional innovation in the field of electronics and computer engineering. It was presented to the Dr Letaief at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur during the IEEE International Conference on Communications, IEEE’s flagship conference on communications technologies.
“I am delighted and honored to receive this prestigious international award, which recognizes innovation at the cutting edge of communications technologies and the best research output in the field of wireless communications published over the past three years in IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications – the premier journal to focus on this scientific discipline,” said Dr Letaief said.
