DOHA: The Asian Town and Street 52 bus interchange will be relocated to an area near the Karwa City, Mowasalat said yesterday.
Passengers for feeder services, 300 series circular services and routes 20, 21 and 57 should now change routes from here, said a statement. With effect from April 24, Mowasalat will increase the frequency of buses in several routes, to meet the requirements of the growing number of passengers, in line with changes proposed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
“This will vastly benefit the bus passengers reducing the waiting time and enhancing reliability. However, passengers need to note that the timetable has changed due to the increased frequency,” said the statement. The new time table may be downloaded from www.mowasalat.com. Also it displayed at the notice board the central bus terminal in Al Ghanim.
“There are challenges with various construction activities and road closures and diversions and narrow roads hampering our efficiency and affecting our time schedule. With the support of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, we are on the right track in providing most reliable, comfortable and economical bus services to the public in Qatar,” said Khalid Nassir Al Hail, Managing Director, Mowasalat.
