QSE index gains 28.07 points

Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index gained 28.07 points, or 0.34 percent, when the bourse closed trading at 8,172.18 points yesterday.
The volume of shares traded increased to 8.45 million  from 4.90 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR145.27m from QR150.57m on Wednesday.
From the 45 companies listed on QSE, shares of 38 saw trading yesterday. From these, 20 gained and 18 closed lower.
Indices of five sectors ended in green and remained two sectors ended in red today. QSE Total Return Index gained 0.34 to 13,704.27 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index increased 0.43 percent to 3,242.28 points and QSE All Share Index added 0.60 percent to 2,295.76 points, reports QNA.
When compared on weekly basis, the QSE index lost 169.91 points, 2.04 percent, last week compared to previous week’s closing.
 Trading value during last week decreased by 11.77 percent to reach QR746.10m compared to QR845.59m.
Trading volume decreased by 18.18 percent to reach 31.83 million shares, as against 38.90 million  shares, while the number of transactions fell by 11.24 percent, to reach 11,276 transactions as compared to 12,704 transactions.
