The Police Institute has announced the launch of the Police Science Diploma program, which it grants to high school graduates starting next July for a period of two years with a total of 60 credit hours, within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to develop cadres, which contributes to achieving security stability and excellence in performance.

At a press conference, Director of the Police Institute, Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Saud Al Hanzab, said the Police Science Diploma is a unique scientific program, as it meets the standards, conditions and quality of academic programs and the requirements of the national qualifications framework in Qatar.

He explained that the program targets two categories: Qatari military personnel working in the Ministry of Interior who hold high school diplomas, and Qatari high school graduates who meet the conditions required by the competent committee at the Ministry of Interior.

He said the diploma will serve as a qualified bridge for those wishing to obtain a bachelor’s degree in law and police sciences according to the specific mechanisms, pointing out that this diploma program is a response to developing the education and training system at MoI and achieving its strategy and objectives in the development of the human element.

The Acting Director of Higher Education Institutions Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Saeed Jassim Al Sayed, said this step represents a breakthrough towards a new stage of development and modernisation that has been pursued by the Police Institute, the cradle of the Qatari military since its inception.
He said the graduates will be able to face and deal with modern challenges.
