Doha: The Qatari Forum for Authors recently hosted the writer Andalus Ibrahim, who specialises in children's literature, within “The Story” initiative run by the Director General of the Qatari Forum for Authors Dr. Aisha Jassim Al Kuwari. which is broadcasted via the Forum’s channel on YouTube and social media platforms.
The episode highlighted the inception of writing and cultural contributions of the writer, including her most important stations.
The writer Andalus Ibrahim talked about the beginning of writing during her childhood, including the encouragement and support she received from family and school which have largely contributed in framing her talent.
She pointed out that her stations promoted this orientation, as she worked as program presenter in Al Jazeera channel for children, and sought to refine talent through training and participation in several courses and workshops until reaching the stage of writing in a professional and mature fashion.
She said that every child possesses numerous talents, and the responsibility of discovering, incubating and developing the talents rests on the shoulder of family, calling on parents to focus on the their children’s needs, in addition to replenishing their talents and dedicate a qualitative time to them, because time dramatically affects the character of children and leads to build the leadership tenets in children, such as trust, ambition and perseverance.
The development of community and its openness are essentially based on the healthy and balanced relationship, including the positive environment within the family, Andalus Ibrahim noted.
