DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that the Al Sailiya Road and two new intersections, Muaither and Plastic Intersections, are now open for traffic.
The two intersections reopen after the completion of their conversion from roundabouts to signalized intersections, said Ashghal on its official Twitter handle, adding that the conversion will enhance road capacity and ease traffic congestion in the areas.
Ashghal added that it continues to implement upgrading works on the Southern part of Tuwar Al Heraithi Street and Al Hamm Street, as well as landscaping works on Al Sailiya Road, as part of the 'Improvement Works in Great Doha, Phase 9' project.
Eng. Mooza Al Sowaidi, Head of Doha City Section, said: “The project’s upgrading works gain even more importance from their strategic location as they serve health & commercial facilities and educational & sports institutions as well as Khalifa International Stadium.”
