Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Doha is set to host the 6th Doha Islamic Finance Conference under the title “Islamic Finance in a Transforming World”.

The event is organized by Bait Al-Mashura Finance Consultations with Barwa Bank, the strategic partner, and Qatar Olympic Committee as the sports partner. The Qatar Financial Centre is the diamond sponsor.

The conference will be held on Tuesday, February 25, at Sheraton Doha Hotel, “Majlis Hall”, and with an international participation of government bodies, international organizations, financial and academic institutions in the field of economics, finance, sports and technology.

The conference will focus on the effects of global transformations on Islamic finance through its core themes. The Conference will also debate the possibilities of Islamic financial institutions investing in sports sector and in other key sectors. The experience of Islamic trading platforms and their impact on the global economy will also be presented, along with an idea to create a market for commodities and minerals in the Middle East.
