Qatar’s permanent delegation to the United Nations held a high-level meeting to discuss hosting of major sports events as a social, economic, environmental and sustainable development, in New York yesterday. The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (centre), Qatar’s representative to the UN Sheikha Aliaa Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani (second left) and Secretary-General of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Hassan Al Thawadi (right) attended the meeting with other officials.
