Dubai - The State of Qatar pavilion participating in Expo 2020 Dubai celebrated the National Day of the State of Qatar, which falls on Dec. 18, by holding a number of events and activities, in the presence of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry HE Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater, and Assistant Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates HE Yacoub Yousef Al Hosani, and other officials from both sides, and representatives of the countries participating in the exhibition.

During his speech on this occasion, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry stressed that the celebration of this occasion represents an important opportunity to learn about the process of construction and the comprehensive renaissance witnessed by the State of Qatar in light of the forward-looking and wise vision of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

His Excellency pointed out that Qatar's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai reflects its deep belief in the important role that innovation plays in building the foundations for a better future for all humanity, noting that the country's pavilion sheds light on the national achievements in this field, which have contributed to consolidating the values of creativity and innovation in all sectors.

His Excellency added that the State of Qatar's pavilion reflects the leading position of the State of Qatar in the field of development, in light of its vision and successful experiences in facing and overcoming various challenges and global changes, under the slogan of "Qatar:The future is now", which corresponds to the main slogan of this global event.

The pavilion of the State of Qatar witnessed a rich program on the occasion of the National Day, which included musical performances on the jubilee platform, with the participation of a group of Qatari artists, to reflect the culture and traditions of the country.

The State of Qatar is participating in Expo 2020 Dubai with a special pavilion that will witness the organization of a number of events and activities that highlight the countrys march towards achieving its National Vision 2030, and the huge and pioneering projects that have been completed to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as well as reviewing the incentives and investment opportunities provided by the state to implement its plans to achieve economic diversification in accordance with the determinants of the National Development Strategy 2018-2022.
