Doha: The Ministry of Interior has invited people to join an introductory webinar on the grace period for those who violating the provisions of Law No. 21/2015 that regulates the entry, exit and residence of expatriates.
The grace period, which started from October 10, 2021 and will continue till December 31, 2021, is a chance for violators for correcting their status.
The webinar will start tomorrow from 10am to 11:30am. People can join the webinar though the link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6186754109?pwd=Z2M0VmtGc1RjOTZ5OGxtakc4eWE3UT09.
It will be in Arabic with a translation to English and is open for all and any interested person can join the meeting using above Zoom link.
The Ministry of Interior has so far received more than 20,000 requests from workers after the grace period for correcting the status of expatriates was announced.
The Ministry is expecting an increase in turnout after the announcement of 50 percent reduction in the settlement amount. The grace period is valid until December 31, 2021.
