Samsung announces exchange and refund process for Galaxy Note7 in Qatar

Doha: Starting today Samsung Galaxy Note7 customers in Qatar can now exchange their original Galaxy Note7 or replacement Galaxy Note7 at any of the following Samsung Brand Shops regardless of the original point of purchase. Customers can exchange their Note7 for a Galaxy S7 edge with a refund of the price difference in the form of cash or a gift voucher.

Consumers who wish to obtain a full refund will have to take their Galaxy Note7 and the original receipt to the original point of purchase.
Consumers are advised by Samsung Gulf Electronics to switch off power and stop using the device and to take advantage of the refund options at the earliest.
“All consumers who have a replacement Galaxy Note7 device, or do not have an original purchase receipt, or have questions related to the exchange process, are advised to contact Samsung’s call center on 800-2255 for assistance,” astatement from the company said.
The South Korean electronics giant announced a week ago that it was discontinuing the Note 7 after a chaotic recall that saw replacement phones also catching fire.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Samsung
Electronics Company had announced a halt in the sales of the Galaxy Note 7 in Qatar last week.
The ministry has also stopped all replacements of Galaxy Note 7 devices with the newly released ones after it was confirmed that the manufacturer failed to resolve a defect in the battery.
It had urged all customers who purchased either the original device or the replaced ones to shut it down and stop using it and communicate with the commercial agent and suppliers for the refund of its price.
