DOHA: Over 500 volunteers are needed for the third Ajyal Youth Film Festival to be held from November 29 to December 5 at Katara.
During the event, volunteers will be on hand to events and venues within Katara and help with festival operations.
Over 400 volunteers supported Ajyal 2014 working with festival departments, including theatre operations, Ajyal Jury, red carpet assistance, transportation, marketing, guest registration, accreditation, guest relations, hospitality and the industry department, among others.
Fatma Al Remaihi, CEO, Doha Film Institute, said: “In the previous two years, our volunteers have played a leading role in the success of the festival. It provides community members with opportunity to make new friends, interact with film industry experts and gain rich insights into the functioning of an international cultural event.
“We have been fortunate to have such an enthusiastic team of volunteers who have contributed every step of the way, and we again welcome their involvement in our next edition.”
Volunteers will be exposed to inner workings of a major cultural event, interact with guests and jurors of many nationalities, gain industry experience and receive participation certificate for involvement.
Interested candidates aged 18 and above can register on DFI website www.dohafilminstitute.com/filmfestival/volunteer
