Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Hajj Mission has intensified preparations for 2026 Hajj season by completing the preparation and outfitting of camps for Qatari pilgrims in Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah according to the highest organizational and technical standards, ensuring a safe, comfortable and integrated pilgrimage experience for pilgrims from the State of Qatar.
The preparations are being carried out in continuous coordination with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in line with approved operational plans designed to serve pilgrims and facilitate the smooth performance of Hajj rituals in a secure and organized environment.
Mohammed Hassan Al Kaabi, Acting Head of the Holy Sites Services Unit at the Qatari Hajj Mission, said the camp preparation works have progressed according to a carefully planned schedule and at an accelerated pace, resulting in the successful completion of all required works and facilities to guarantee the comfort and safety of Qatari pilgrims during their spiritual journey.
Al Kaabi explained that preparations for the new Hajj season began immediately after the conclusion of last year’s pilgrimage. The mission conducted field visits to the holy sites and held coordination meetings with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and other concerned authorities to establish clear mechanisms for implementing the required arrangements in line with approved standards and regulations.
He added that the Qatari Hajj Mission contracted one of the leading companies specializing in camp preparation in order to meet the expectations of Qatari pilgrims and provide services that conform to the best internationally recognized standards in this field.
Actual work at the camps in Mina and Arafat began during the holy month of Ramadan and included the installation and inspection of air-conditioning and ventilation systems, the preparation of bathrooms and ablution facilities, and the provision of catering, electricity and water services. Safety, security and internal organiSational measures were also taken into account to ensure a smooth and secure experience for pilgrims throughout their stay and movement between the holy sites.
Al Kaabi noted that field teams from the mission are monitoring the progress of the works around the clock under the direct supervision of the mission leadership and advisory committee to ensure that all facilities comply with technical specifications and approved safety standards.
He praised the extensive efforts exerted by the Saudi authorities in serving pilgrims, emphasizing that ongoing cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah have greatly facilitated procedures and enhanced the quality of services provided to Qatari pilgrims and all pilgrims visiting the Holy Mosque.
Al Kaabi also urged Qatari pilgrims to adhere to campaign instructions, cooperate with administrative and field teams, and comply with Saudi regulations to ensure smooth organization and the safety of all pilgrims during the Hajj season.
