QFA President attends national team training

The Qatar Football Association (QFA) President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani attended the national team training session at Lekhwiya Stadium.
The QFA President met with coach Jorge Fossati and engaged the national team players in a brief chat session.
Qatar are preparing to face Iran in a 2017 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on March 23 in Doha.
Five days later, Qatar visit Uzbekistan for another qualifier. A team official said the QFA President met the players to give them confidence ahead of what will be two key games for the national side.
Qatar players resumed training on Friday following a short break.
The Qatar squad has been busy preparing for the Iran game by studying video analysis.
Qatar squad is also scheduled to play a friendly against the national Olympic squad at Al Sadd Stadium today.
The squad will continue training in the coming days, the team official said. Meanwhile, Qatar were drawn alongside India, Turkmenistan and Syria in the official draw of the AFC U-23 Championship China 2018 qualifying groups.
The ten group winners and five best second-placed teams among all the groups will advance to the finals.
The qualifiers will take place from July 19 to 23, 2017 in the respective host countries which are Kyrgyz Republic, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Myanmar, DPR Korea, Thailand and China PR.
