DOHA: Some private and international schools have asked permission from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to raise their tuition fee from the next academic year (2016-17). The requests of some of the schools have already been rejected as they do not meet the required basic conditions.
However, the requests of the other schools that are eligible to apply are being studied. The private schools’ office of the education ministry is looking at various aspects like how many times in the past three years they have applied for permission to increase their tuition fee and their expenditures and profits, if any. The performance of the school will also be considered in deciding whether the school should be allowed to increase its fee, reports Al Sharq.
