Doha: The Pearl-Qatar hosted yet another 'Family Fun Friday' at Porto Arabia featuring a variety of entertainment activities. During the weekend, 14 La Croisette - the pedestrian-only zone at Porto Arabia - donned a carnival-like atmosphere, where a number of events that varied between artistic performance and recreational activities were organised especially for children. This initiative by United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar, received an overwhelming response, as hundreds of families from Qatar and GCC visitors enjoyed the fun-filled activities.
“'Family Fun Friday” witnessed stilt walkers and cartoon characters lining up the entire stretch at Porto Arabia. Children also had fun while participating in activities like balloon twisting, face painting and drawing. During the event, cotton candies and popcorns were also distributed. The event extended for four hours, starting at three o'clock in the afternoon until half past seven at night.
The “Family Fun Day" is part of UDC's diverse community services, and includes family meeting in an entertaining and distinctive atmosphere. Besides, The Pearl-Qatar includes plush shopping areas overlooking the sea. The public walkway extends to Croisette along the quay in the Porto Arabia district, for a distance of 3.5 kilometers, and is home to global brands in the hospitality industry and upscale boutiques in the fashion sector.
