DOHA: The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), one of the world’s leading and fastest growing onshore business and financial centres, participated in the third Qatar Business Law Forum & Awards, organised by LexisNexis, during which the QFC’s Chief Legal Officer and Board Secretary Nasser Al Taweel was named ‘General Counsel of the Year’.
The 2018 ‘General Counsel of the Year’ award is a prestigious award that recognises the achievements of the Head of a Legal Department based on a set criteria that includes evidence of legal expertise; client satisfaction; innovation; strategic vision, and leadership, and is determined by a judging panel.
The event is hosted by LexisNexis in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Legal Affairs), Qatar University (College of Law), and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Middle East.
