DOHA: Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji), in it efforts to improve online shopping security, has plans to introduce 3D secure system for its customers by the end of this year, said Gary Mond, Head of Personal Banking at al khaliji at a forum recently.
Mond said: “al khaliji focuses on making shopping online easy and safe for customers, the bank applies the highest security standards when shopping online and will be introducing the 3D secure later this year”.
He was one of the panel speakers on the subject “Leveraging in the Online Shopping Business to Boost Consumer Financial Services” at the 8th Annual Middle East Retail Banking Forum held in Dubai recently.
He believes that banks should focus on banking and ensuring the highest security standards for customers while shopping online.
Organised by Fleming Gulf Conferences, the three-day event that concluded on April 17 was attended by leaders in retail banking with discussions taking place on best practices, successful stories, case studies, strategies and new business models.
Besides taking part in the panel discussion, on the second day of the forum, Mond was entrusted with the responsibility of moderating a few sessions such as, Channel Diversification – Adapting to Innovative Alternate Channel Services, How banks can leverage technology to better engage with their customers? Digitalisation of the branch, and the Turkish retail banking model.
