Doha: Voltas Qatar Toastmasters Club recently held their maiden ‘speech contest’ in Doha.
Toastmasters Kausik Sarathy, Pawan Pandey and D S Murthy won first place in International, Humorous and Table Topic categories, respectively.
The contest was held under the guidance of the Area Director, T M Balkrishna Karande, and supported by Nirmala Raghuraman and senior members of Doha Toastmasters Club, Girish Jain and Rangamani Ravi apart from the continuous involvement of Division “E” Director H P Singh Bhullar, as well as support from other clubs. It is a corporate club formed under the aegis of non-profit organisation Toastmasters International with a mission to improve communication and leadership skills.
Over a hundred corporate toastmasters’ clubs function worldwide.
