Healthcare council attends forum

Doha: Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) of the Supreme Council of Health participated in the Association for Medical Education in Europe annual conference and the exhibition in Glasgow, Scotland, held under the theme ‘Inspire and be inspired’.
The conference included educational activities comprising research and reporting, electronic posters, presentations and workshops which discussed latest developments and innovations and international best practices in medical education.
More than 3,000 experts and leaders of medical education took part.
The Accreditation Department of QCHP, in partnership with Royal College Canada International, had four presentations on National Health Strategy ‘Establishment of National CME/CPD Accreditation System and Framework for State of Qatar Health System’. All presentations were interactive and well received. 
QCHP also put up a booth on innovative CME/CPD framework and accreditation system developed by it. It was visited by a large number of participants and institutions and organisations involved in medical education who expressed interest in cooperation with the department. 
Visitors acknowledged the National CME/CPD Accreditation System as unique for healthcare practitioners from various health sectors.
The conference provided opportunity to meet the global medical education community and learn more about the most advanced topics on  medical education practices. It also provided opportunity to communicate with medical education leaders from all sectors and countries, expand network, set up partnership with recognised healthcare organisations and participate in building a better healthcare system.
