The Board of Directors of the Qatar Press Center held yesterday, May 15, a meeting at the center’s headquarters. The meeting was held in the presence of a number of new board members.
Chairman of the Board, Saad Mohammed Al-Rumaihi welcomed the new members, wishing them success. He also praised the important role played by the former members of the Board and the great efforts they have made during their membership in the Board of Directors and wished them success in their careers.
The new board discussed the possible means to give Qatari media cadres opportunities to highlight their talents through the center's activities, by organizing exhibitions, workshops, seminars, lectures, and other activities that are compatible with the nature of the center's activity.
The board reviewed a number of proposals and took appropriate decisions in their regard, the most important of which is the approval of a proposal to start activating the center's membership system and to make it available to all media persons in the State of Qatar.
The board also approved a proposal to name a number of halls in the center after leading Qatari personalities.
