New York: UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres condemned North Korea's firing of ballistic missiles.
Guterres said that this action violates Security Council's resolutions and poses a threat to peace and security in the region.
The Secretary General called on North Korea to ensure full compliance with its international obligations and to return to the path of denuclearization.
North Korea launched a ballistic missile from the northwestern part of the country early Sunday. It is the first missile test of Pyongyang since the election of the new president in South Korea.
