Doha: The Ministry of Labour (MoL) participated in the celebration of Family Day in Qatar, which falls on the April 15 of each year, along with other ministries, authorities and public institutions in Qatar.
MoL has lit its building in green to highlight the importance of family, its pivotal role in the process of development, and on the cohesion of the family and the joint responsibility that all its members assume towards themselves and towards society.
It is noteworthy that the idea of devoting a special day for the family in the State of Qatar was decided on the sidelines of the World Family Conference hosted by the State of Qatar and organised by the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in 2004 on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the International Year of the Family. And in 2011, Family Day in Qatar became the fifteenth of April every year.
