Doha, Qatar: All eyes turn to Doha today as the nation hosts the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in response to the September 9 Israeli strike on residential buildings in Doha, which housed several Hamas leaders. The blatant attack has drawn widespread condemnation from regional and international leaders.
A preparatory meeting ahead of this summit was held yesterday, during which Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani strongly denounced the assault.
“This act can only be described as state terrorism — a policy pursued by the current extremist Israeli government, which violates international law, threatens regional security, and brazenly defies international legitimacy,” he declared.
