RAF attends GCC Traffic Week with safety campaign

DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) is participating in 32nd GCC Traffic Week activities in Darb El-Saai. 
Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director-General,  Public Security, on Sunday visited Raf pavilion and praised its campaign ‘Tahamal Bi-omrak’ (Be responsible for your life) to create awareness about traffic safety.
The campaign in collaboration with the Traffic Department targets young motorists, in particular.
Mohamed Abdullah Al Mohannadi, Executive Director of the campaign, said the drive has attracted some 300 schools.
“Our pavilion features games for children, highlighting the importance of traffic safety.”
A supervisor said the campaign has attracted some 1,000 followers on Twitter and 700 on Instagram, and the hashtag has become popular in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Al Kuwait. “We are considering launching the campaign in other languages.”
Over 60 government departments, agencies and private companies are taking part in the event being held under the theme ‘Your Decision Determines Your Fate’.The Peninsula
