Doha: Minister of Youth and Sports H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali lauded bilateral relations between Qatar and Turkey.
During a ceremony hosted by Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Demirok and attended by President of Qatar Football Association Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Thani along with Secretary-General for the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Hassan Al Thawadi, the Minister described relations between the two countries as historic and outstanding in all areas and are receiving support and political will accorded by Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Minister’s meeting with Turkish Ambassador comes within a framework of preparations for a friendly match between Qatar and Turkey at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium, Lekhwiya Sports Club.
Their talks focused on ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in youth and sports field.
