Doha: The Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khaled Al Sabah, paid a surprise visit to the third edition of the Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS).
Kuwait is being represented at QIBS this year by three of the country’s companies – Gulf Master Boats, Sea Line Group and Seas & Deserts.
The Sea Line Group for Marine Contracting provides special maritime solutions, including consultancy, system design, equipment procurement, installation and maintenance.
The company also offers communications systems, marine electronics, navigation systems and seabed scanning. Sea Line also runs well-equipped workshops with trained engineers, and has also recently taken delivery of four passenger boats to provide fast transportation within Kuwait territorial waters.
Gulf Master Boats is one of Kuwait’s pioneering companies specialising in the construction of pleasure, commercial and military fibreglass powerboats.
From initial design concepts to state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, “Gulf Master” has maintained its leading position in the fibreglass powerboat manufacturing industry.
The Seas & Deserts Group is a premier Marine & Land Equipment Company in Kuwait, combining strategic planning with highly-qualified personnel, maintaining a reputation for efficiency, reliability and professionalism.
It imports, exports, distributes, supplies and carries out after sales services of utility ships, mega yachts, yachts, boats, all terrain vehicles, navigational electronics, marine/land equipment and special equipment.
Faysal Mikati, the founder and CEO of Snow Comms Conceptual Communications & Events, which is responsible for staging the show, said that QIBS was honoured to receive Sheikh Mohammed Al Khaled and was delighted in the confidence that he had shown in making his visit.
This edition has been dedicated to the memory of Essa Al Mannai, the conceptualiser and Chairman of the Qatar International Boat Show, who passed away just over a week ago.
It was Essa’s vision of Qatar staging its very own boat show, together with his determination, that led to the staging of the first edition of QIBS in 2013.
