Qatar University President Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham and Executive General Manager and Group Chief Operating Officer of QNB, Ali Rashid Al Mohannadi during the signing of the MoU.
Doha: Qatar University (QU) and Qatar National Bank (QNB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) yesterday to establish collaboration on research, consultancy and knowledge transfer.
The signing was between QU President, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham and QNB Executive General Manager & Group Chief Operating Officer, Ali Rashid Al Mohannadi. Through the MoU, the two organisations aimed to establish cooperation in the academic, research, student training and support fields as well as the exchange of information and consultancy.
Dr. Al Derham said: “The MoU highlights QU College of Engineering continuous efforts to provide solutions to local challenges in line with national priorities towards a knowledge-based economy. It will also serve to facilitate knowledge and technology transfer and provide consultancy and research services, which will contribute to driving socio-economic development and sustainability in Qatar.”
For his part, Al Mohannadi disclosed: “Following long years of continuous and fruitful cooperation with Qatar University, Qatar’s primary educational institution, this comes as part of our support to education in all areas and fields. We hope that this MoU provides an opportunity to exchange knowledge and to benefit from the expertise and to provide our utmost support to improve this agreement’s goals.”
