IPL: Mumbai seal top spot with win over KKR

Kolkata: Mumbai Indians finished the first phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after securing a nine-run victory over Kolkata Knoght Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens.
After scoring 173-5 in the allotted overs, Mumbai restricted KKR for 164-8 to claim win.
Ambati Rayudu and Saurabh Tiwary scored half centuries to help second-string Mumbai Indians post 173/5 in 20 overs against KKR. Earlier, skipper David Warner led from the front to help Sunrisers Hyderabad cement their place in the IPL play-offs after the visitors comfortably beat Gujarat Lions by eight wickets.
Warner scored a 52-ball unbeaten 69 and was well complimented by young Vijay Shankar's 44-ball unbeaten 63 to lift the visiting side to the second spot in the IPL standings, with 17 points from their 14 games.
