DOHA: Capago MENA, the French Visa Application Centre, received more than 32,000 applications for Schengen visas at its facilities in Doha, the French embassy said yesterday.
Capago MENA, and the embassy have succeeded in facilitating the French Schengen visa application process by offering Qataris the best quality services, allowing the issuance of a visa in 48 hours or less, the mission said yesterday.
Capago MENA also offers a “doorstep application” for all, whereby one agent offers a personalised service at home or office for the application procedure.
“We always welcome our Qatari friends and Qatar residents who wish to visit our beautiful country, year after year, in always greater numbers,” French Ambassador Eric Chevallier said.
“We are committed to guaranteeing them the best possible conditions in the preparation and the course of their stay in France.”
As spring has arrived and summer approaches, the embassy and Capago MENA Qatar has advised prospective travellers to take an appointment as early as possible before the holiday seasons to avoid any delays.
Capago MENA also announced the launch of its new magazine My French Link, dedicated to promoting France as the destination.
France which attracted about 85 million tourists in 2015, hopes to attract 100 million visitors by 2020. “Our government has been enhancing its efforts to welcome its guests in the best conditions, by further developing infrastructures (better taxi services at the airports, for example) and reinforcing security measures in all touristic areas and monuments,” said the ambassador. The Peninsula
