Tokyo - Tokyo stocks jumped 1.44 percent Friday morning following a strong rally on Wall Street and as exporters were boosted by a weaker yen.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange added 273.99 points to 19,265.10 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares rose 0.92 percent, or 14.27 points, to 1,560.90.
