DOHA: The final round of the 2015 season of Qatar International Endurocross, organized by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), will take place today at Sealine Beach Resort area with titles in all the three categories up for grabs.
In the MX1 class, the Kuwait’s Meshari Abou Shaibah has a lot of chances to bag the E1 title after winning all the previous rounds. Shaibah is currently leading the championship with an impressive tally of 150 points.
Compatriot Moath Al Ansari is second with 130 points.
Emirati rider Saeed Al Shenquiti, with 118 points, is in third place.
British rider Jake Preston is top of the standings in the E2 category with 145 points.
Mohammed Jaffar from Kuwait is second with 131 points while Mohammed Al Balooshi is third with 119 points.
In the quads category, Fahad Al Musallam is leading with 125 points.
Qatari rider Mohammed Abuissa couldn’t take part in all the rounds, missing the first round because of the Dakar Rally. He is in sixth position with a tally of with 84 points.
“For this final round I will try to do my best to win both races,” top quad rider Abuissa said yesterday.
“I have been training hard to ensure I am ready for the tough competition from other competitors.
“I am really looking forward to represent Qatar once again,” he added.
Action will start at 10:30am with the free practice session.
The first race for bikes starts at 12:15pm.
The session for the quads starts at 1:10pm.
The second races are scheduled to start at 2:05pm and at 3:00pm, organisers confirmed yesterday.
