Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the closure of a commercial company in the Muntazah area for a month.
The company, Elite F&B Trading, deliberately concealed the dates of expired products and printed new dates on its products.
The action was taken due to violation of Article No. (6) of Law No. 8 of 2008 regarding consumer protection.
“These inspection campaigns stem from the ministry’s keenness to monitor compliance with the laws and regulations governing the commercial sector and ensure the protection of consumer rights,” ministry said.
