DOHA: A new public park was opened in Al Khor by the Ras Laffan Community Outreach Programme in collaboration with Al Khor Municipality.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials from Doha and Al Khor municipalities, company representatives and members from the Al Khor community.
Al Tawasul Park is located in the middle of Al Khor City, near commercial and residential areas, spreading over an area of 23,000 square meters.
The park has entertainment facilities, including multi-use playground and playing facilities for all age groups.
It also contains different types of equipment to practise sports and entertainment activities.
Ras Laffan Community Outreach Programme aims to build communication bridges with the local community, based on trust and cooperation among industrial companies at Ras Laffan City and the local community, said a statement.
The programme is a consortium that includes Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Shell, RasGas, Dolphin Energy Limited, Pearl, and ORYX GTL.
