Abu Dhabi: UAE President H H Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan discussed the Israeli attack on Qatari territory in a phone call today with French President HE Emmanuel Macron.
Both leaders reiterated their condemnation of the assault, describing it as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and a threat to the security and stability of the region.
They also reviewed bilateral cooperation and joint work within the framework of the strategic partnership between their two countries.
During the call, the UAE and French presidents emphasized the importance of intensified international efforts to advance the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the two-state solution, viewing it as the path to achieving security and stability in the Middle East. They also reaffirmed their rejection of any Israeli attempts to annex the West Bank or parts of the occupied Palestinian territories or to forcibly displace Palestinians, warning that such actions undermine regional stability and threaten the principle of a two-state solution in line with international legitimacy.
