Doha, Qatar: Al Shaqab yesterday announced the relaunch of the Al Shaqab National Show Jumping League, set to resume with three consecutive weekends of elite competition at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab.
The 2025 events will take place on May 16–17, May 23–24, and May 30–31, featuring top-tier and emerging riders from across the country.
As part of its ongoing contribution to Qatar National Vision 2030, Al Shaqab continues to lead in advancing equestrian sports and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. The National Show Jumping League plays a pivotal role in nurturing talent, sharpening riders’ skills, and serving as a stepping stone toward international recognition.
Open to both Al Shaqab Equestrian Academy members and external competitors, the league provides equal opportunities across all levels. It features a range of competition categories—Training (Introductory 1: 40 cm, Introductory 2: 60 cm, Introductory 3: 80 cm) and Main Competitions (Amateur: 90 cm, Future Champions: 105 cm, Junior Champions: 115 cm, Youth Champions: 125 cm, and Al Shaqab Champions: 130 cm)—in compliance with FEI regulations, except for introductory classes.
Driven by a strong focus on inclusion and diversity, Al Shaqab continues to empower youth and female athletes while creating a fair and competitive environment. With a point-based ranking system, the league adds prestige to each round, recognising top performers at the season’s close.
