Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the State of Qatar, H E Jasminko Pozderac, expressed his appreciation for the great successes achieved by the country in developing its strong economy and improving the well-being of its citizens. This is in reference to the wise leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the determination of the citizens of Qatar, wishing that Qatar is fully achieving the goals of its National Vision 2030.
In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), His Excellency said that the Republic of Serbia and the State of Qatar share the principles of peaceful foreign policy which respects the rules of international law, including the integrity and sovereignty of all states. “Relations between Republic of Serbia and State of Qatar are developing successfully and regular political dialogue is continuing and there is no reason why we can not develop much stronger economic and investment ties, because we already established strong political and legal basis for that.” he added.
The Ambassador pointed out that Serbians who are working in Qatar can be bridge toward even better mutual understanding and cooperation. He added: “ We can witness constant progress in all areas of life in Qatar which continues its path of modernization, based on the respect of its rich cultural heritage and history. Economy is no exception and we are all witnesses of the full recovery of the Qatari Economy although COVID-19 pandemic is still on going in the world.”
Regarding the preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022, the Ambassador said: “It is obvious that the preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar are taking place accordingly with the plans. The stadiums are being constructed in due time as well as all the infrastructure. We are sure that this will be the best World Cup ever as well as the biggest sport event ever.”
Ambassador Pozderac concluded: “I would like to extend my warmest congratulation to the leadership of the State of Qatar and Qatari people on the occasion of their National Day. The celebration of this significant day will strengthen the determination and unity of all people in Qatar to stay on the path of progress and stability of their proud country.”
