DOHA: Vodafone launched the most advanced iPhones — iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, at its flagship store in Villaggio on Saturday at 00.01am.
A representative from Apple, Osama Hamdan, and Vodafone’s Director of Marketing Luke Longney cut the rope to announce the start of the sale. Customers got their phones through pre-order and walk-in and celebrated until later than 2am. The event was packed with entertainment, giveaways and offers.
The launch was also marked with a data offer whereby Vodafone Red postpaid customers get the chance to test drive 12 months of unlimited Internet and enjoy a great experience on Vodafone’s fastest network.
Vodafone Falla postpaid customers get to double their data for six months while other postpaid customers will receive three months of free data — 15GB per month. Prepaid customers will receive 1GB for 30 days.
Longney said: “It was a superb event and we were excited to see everybody joining us for the launch of the world’s most awaited smartphones. We’re also happy we catered to our walk-in customers who showed up to grab their favourite handset. This is one of our biggest launches this year and we made sure to pack it with surprises and great data offers for our customers to experience our fastest than ever network.” All customers purchasing iPhone 6s and Plus will walk away with Vodafone Advantage that includes services such as Official Warranty, Trade Up and Red Box, allowing transfer of contacts and media for free from their old to new handsets.
