DOHA: AJ+ has achieved over one billion online video views a year since its inception in September 2014.
“It is a great achievement to reach such a milestone in such a short time since the launch,” said Dima Khatib, Managing Director.
“It is a testament to the hard work of AJ+ team and the support Al Jazeera Media Network has given to cutting-edge digital platforms in delivering content,” he added.
As Al Jazeera Media Network’s digital-only news platform, AJ+ highlights human struggles and achievements, strives to make the voice of the voiceless heard, empowers impassioned voices, and tackles the status quo.
The platform delivers a refreshing and bold perspective on current events, prompting engagement with custom content for online social communities, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and AJ+ mobile app.
DOHA: Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has launched a community health project at a cost of $750,000 in Idlib city in Syria for women and children.
Trained volunteers will raise awareness among women and children and advise mothers on the importance of breastfeeding.
The project aims to reach out to 37,000 women, 25,000 children and 1,500 men through activities such as home and school visits and awareness sessions at health centres.
