Doha: Lusail Bus Station, one of the 8 stations carried out within the Public Bus Infrastructure Program, is significantly equipped to support the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 fans transportation.
Located alongside Lusail Metro Station and along Al-Khor Coastal Road, it has easy access to key landmarks and nearby facilities. Football fans can be transported to and from Lusail Stadium and Al Bayt Stadium during the championship. It is also well connected with other public transit modes namely Doha Metro, metrolink services, Lusail Tram, Bus Rapid Transit service, Park and Ride parking lot.
This was stated by the Ministry of Transport in which it listed the facilities that the bus station is equipped with.
The 39,708 sq metre bus station has nine parking areas with nine lanes that has the capacity for 10,000 passengers a day. The station is ready to operate 40 buses and hour and has a passenger waiting area, administrative office, mosque and a commercial facility.
With the aim of achieving sustainable transportation in Qatar, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 goals, the station is also equipped with electric charging equipment to secure the necessary charging for optimal operation.
